ASC SPANISH TRAINING SYSTEM
DCTENNIS lives and breathes the ASC Spanish Training System. A proven method among tennis professionals (male and female) to be the most effective at ensuring athletes achieve their best tennis level. It applies to tennis (at any level or age) as much as it applies to life in general. Professional and recreational players, alike, are capable of working the same drills and are expected to do them well (or at least as well as they can) in the most encouraging way possible. And the reason players love it, is because they come out believing in themselves. "Because Spanish-system players work much harder in the practice sessions, in the matches they don’t mind doing what they have to do to get behind the ball, and they know that if they can get behind the ball, they’re going to have more winning options", Emilio Sanchez, co-founder of the system, explains. Movement and positioning are absolutely at the core of the system.
THE ASC 4 PILLARS OF ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT
The combination of four theoretical pillars of athletic development has the objective of pushing players to achieve their top performance and help them reach their ideal competitive state. In other words, in today's tennis, you need to excel at all four areas of athletic development to become an Elite Tennis Player.

PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS IN TENNIS
Each stage of the Player's Developmental Pathway is related to the aspects that must be consolidated and the objectives that must be reached during each stage, according to the approximate age* of the player.
*Note that age is merely a guide and not an absolute rule in defining a player's developmental stage at any given point in time.
